The 3 main ingredients of Perfumers Alcohol are:

• Ethanol (denatured) - Ethyl Alcohol is the main carrier for the fragrance oils. It evaporates quickly as it is warmed by skin temperature, releasing the fragrance evenly over the surface.
• At Mistral we exclusively use high-quality cosmetic grade ethanol which is formulated to the UK Governments standard for use in perfumes.  This is commonly known as TSDA-1 or DEB100.  Our alcohol is sourced from UK suppliers and originally derives from sugar cane or sugar beet.

• Propylene Glycol - A co-solvent which helps to solubilise the fragrance oils in the alcohol. MPG helps to control the evaporation of the alcohol so that it does not flash off too quickly giving a longer lasting final scent.

• Isopropyl Myristate - IPM is a colourless, odourless ester.  It acts as a moisturiser and an emollient, giving a smooth silky skin feel to perfumes without being overly greasy.
